The black and grey image was my first attempt when following along with our video. The two other versions I played around with the size of the plane, and colors. Is there a way to change the camera view so that view stays when saving as an image?
Yes... allowing the camera to move anywhere is very important... Press the letter "N" then clik on the box on the menu that opens, "lock camera to view", click N to get rid of the menu and now when you hit numpad 0, you can pans and orbit looking through the camera.
